Key Responsibilities


Advisory & Representation

  • Counsel domestic and international clients on complex antitrust, regulatory, and intellectual property matters in both the US and UK
  • Represent clients before courts, regulatory bodies, and enforcement agencies in the US and UK
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and regulatory filings (e.g., HSR, Form CO, CFIUS, FDI)


Integrated Legal Strategy

  • Develop and execute harmonized legal and compliance strategies leveraging comparative insights from both jurisdictions
  • Address the intersection of IP and competition law, including dispute resolution, IP enforcement, and antitrust implications of IP transactions


Technology-Enhanced Delivery

  • Utilize CILC’s advanced platform and AI-driven tools for research, workflow, risk management, discovery, and predictive analytics
  • Secure and manage confidential client communications, ensuring privilege protection across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate client matters efficiently, minimizing bureaucracy and maximizing value through integrated, digital-first solutions


Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Build lasting client relationships, understand business objectives, and anticipate risks and opportunities
  • Deliver commercial, actionable advice and contribute to the continued growth of CILC’s client portfolio


Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Qualifications: Admitted to practice in both the UK (England & Wales) and at least one US jurisdiction
  • Experience: 5+ years PQE in international law firms, regulatory bodies, or equivalentExpertise
  • Deep knowledge of antitrust, merger control, regulatory filings, and intellectual property law
  • Commercial Sense: Strong ability to align legal advice with clients’ strategic business goals
  • Tech-Savvy: AI Certification
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral advocacy and client management skillsInternational PerspectivePrior success in cross-border matters and navigating divergent legal regimes
